Chronic pain
relief.
Pain is a
symptom and a signal. It is our body’s way of crying out for help. The root problem may be physical, emotional and/or
spiritual. But whatever the case the signal must be taken seriously and addressed before the pain settles in and becomes chronic,
so you need chronic pain relief. If you have such a pain calling out to you it is important to see your doctor to get his
opinion what it is, why it is, what can be done about it.
In the meantime,
just seeing your doctor may still leave you with your pain to deal with. The more you understand – for yourself –
what factors are influencing you, the better your chances of truly healing and relieving yourself of pain. Surprisingly often
in the Emergency Room we see patients suffering from a combination of the following factors that add up to a painful condition:
dehydration, stress, malnourishment, overweight, contributing illnesses, and a lack of knowledge.
To begin we
must first be responsible for those things that are indeed within our power to address, such as:
- Be sure you are well hydrated. Drink plenty of unchlorinated water: at least eight 8-0z.
glasses each day. Avoid juices with too much sugar, and sodas, which leach vitamins and minerals.
- Stress makes you vulnerable. It puts your body in a fight-or-flight mode, which depletes
your vitamins and minerals, reduces your absorption of nutrition, and disturbs your digestion. The tension tends to make you
drink less of the fluids you need, which leads to dehydration. The moral of the story? Get serious about minimizing stress.
And when you are stressed, be sure to eat and drink well – that is, healthily.
- Overweight speaks for itself. The obese eat too much, often of the wrong foods, and
move too little. The myriad negative results? Who doesn’t know them by now? If this is the case for you, now is the
time to find the real determination to make a change.
- To improve your health, test yourself for infections, for example, common yeast infections
(which some experts state breed cancer), at www.pieternel.com/yeast infection.html
- Work on allergies, boost your immune system. Learn more at www.pieternel.com/allergies asthma1.html
- Use natural products and avoid medications as much as possible. Most medications used
to treat chronic conditions have worrisome side effects.
- We need to trust our doctor, but not with passive emptiness. Inform yourself on health
issues, read up, ask questions – even of your doctor!
- When you receive small signs or your inner voice says something is not right, honor
these intuitions. Don’t wait to take action until some huge symptom becomes impossible to ignore. As the saying goes:
an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
